COMPANY HISTORY
MicaGenix is a contract research organization (CRO) founded in 2002 by Joseph
W. Parton, a researcher with 35 years of experience at Eli Lilly Research Laboratories.
MicaGenix shares the vision that in time the company will be able to serve completely
the pharmaceutical industry’s needs for IND and NDA submission.
CORPORATE HIGHLIGHTS
Currently MicaGenix provides services in three areas:
- Mutagenicity work includes Ames, chromosomal aberration, micronucleus
and comet assays. All are GLP-compliant and meet International Standard Guidelines
(ICH, OECD, FDA and EPA). The comet assay is used early in the discovery process
to screen for potential genotoxins. MiniAmes and in vitro micronucleus are
also used for screening.
- Histopathology services include all routine functions, processing
formalin fixed tissues and paraffin embedded tissues, processing frozen tissue,
and immunostaining. Automated high capacity histology equipment and trained
technicians provide high quality slides and rapid turn-around times.
- Regulatory package preparation and review includes, but is not limited
to, an independent review of toxicology reports and preparation of regulatory
summaries for IND/NDA and other regulatory agencies.
