ParaPRO LLC was created by SePRO Corporation in late 2002 to develop and market new pharmaceutical products in the areas of parasitology and dermatology. The company began product development activities in early 2003. Initial meetings with the FDA were completed during the second quarter of the year, followed quickly by preclinical trials. The company is also exploring a wide range of related commercial and technical opportunities.
ParaPRO’s first product in development, Spinosad, for the control of human lice, results from a collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company, announced in November 2002. In addition to Lilly, ParaPRO has cooperative agreements with other companies, including Dow AgroSciences, Johnson & Johnson and Aventor.
