CORPORATE MISSION

Vet Path Services, Inc. (VPS) is an independent GLP-compliant contract histopathology corporation that specializes in providing pathology, histology, histomorphometry, necropsy, peer review, and general consulting services to pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer product, chemical, and contract research organizations. VPS has divisions located in Indiana, Ohio, and New York.

COMPANY HISTORY

Vet Path Services, Inc is a contract research organization (CRO) founded in 2005 by Dr. Phil Long and Mr. Chris Johnson. In 2006, Vet Path Services opened an office in Greenfield, IN, to better provide service to its Indiana clients. The Indiana division is supervised by Dr. Ken Schafer.

Currently Vet Path Services provides services in the areas of:

GLP Histology Laboratory
Our laboratory provides high quality histologic slides from formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues as well as plastic-embedded medical devices and hard tissues using the Exakt System. Our laboratory also has in-house Faxitron X-ray capability.

Histomorphometry
Using the latest in image analysis software (Image Pro Plus) or grid-based analysis, VPS provides quantitative analysis of tissue/device structure (eg, area, length, count), integration/degradation of tissues or devices (eg, percent fill), and staining count/density (eg, immuno-positive cell count).

Complete Toxicologic Pathology Services
Our staff is experienced at providing complete primary histopathology evaluations of toxicology or safety studies under GLP conditions for small molecule and biotech pharmaceuticals as well as medical device studies. We also provide services in transgenic mouse studies, target animal safety studies, histopathology peer review and due diligence, pathology working groups, necropsy supervision, pathology consulting, and special histopathologic techniques development.
